The Genomic Disorders Group was created in 2009 at State Key Laboratory of Genetic Engineering, Fudan University, Shanghai, China. Our researches mainly focus on human genomic rearrangements and large-scale DNA mutations, such as copy number variations (CNVs) and structural variations (SVs).
We are asking:
To what extent are CNVs/SVs responsible for human Mendelian and complex diseases?
What are the molecular mechanisms for human CNV/SV formation?
What roles did CNVs/SVs play in human population history and genome evolution?
The answers to these questions will help advance human health.
